The Federal Government advises Nigerians not to embark on international travel without appropriate documentation.

Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), cautions Nigerians against unauthorized travel abroad.

During her visit to a shelter in Brampton, Canada, where she expressed sympathy for Nigerians residing there, she advised against traveling without proper documentation, citing the increasingly challenging situations in many countries. Dabiri-Erewa emphasized that such journeys are often not worth the risk.

The statement from NiDCOM’s spokesperson, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, also mentioned that the Mayor of Brampton pledged to provide an additional 800 beds for asylum seekers.

Vivian Eruka, working with those in shelters, shared this information, and Wale Rabiu, owner of Matlock bakery, contributed hundreds of loaves of bread to the shelter residents.
