Victor Boniface, the Super Eagles striker, made a heartwarming gesture by flying his grandmother to Germany to witness his debut with Bayer Leverkusen.
In the November international break, Victor Boniface returned to Nigeria to watch the Super Eagles compete against Lesotho and Zimbabwe in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying tournament.
Despite delivering a stellar performance for Bayer Leverkusen this season, Victor Boniface couldn’t contribute to the Super Eagles securing victories over the two lower-ranked opponents, resulting in 1-1 draws in both matches. Nevertheless, during the November international break, he chose to uplift his grandmother’s spirits, even as a significant portion of Super Eagles supporters expressed discontent with the team’s overall performance.
Before Bayer Leverkusen’s matchup with Bayern Munich this weekend in the German Bundesliga, the 22-year-old football player Victor posted pictures of himself and his grandmother flying.
The striker made a move to Germany in the summer after leaving Union SG in Belgium. In sixteen games across all competitions with the German team, he has netted eleven goals and provided six assists.
