Evangelist Ebuka Obi has addressed allegations of conspiring with the unwell actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, to stage a counterfeit miracle.
A traditionalist accused Mr. Ibu of orchestrating a fake miracle at Ebuka Obi’s church and expressed satisfaction with the actor’s reported limb amputation, attributing it to the alleged deception. Obi, in response, clarified to his congregation that he did not invite Mr. Ibu, asserting that the actor attended voluntarily. Additionally, Obi mentioned his lack of familiarity with Mr. Ibu, emphasizing that he does not watch films.
Ebuka Obi clarified that he wasn’t aware of Mr. Ibu’s celebrity status until others pointed it out in church. Regarding the alleged staged miracle, Obi emphasized that Ibu didn’t seek prayers for recovery from him, nor did the actor share a testimony at the altar of Zion Ministry. Instead, Mr. Ibu expressed financial concerns, and in response, Obi extended charity by offering him some money.
The pastor went on to criticise the various false misconceptions about him spread by others in order to gain attention, comparing his condition to that of the late clergyman, T.B Joshua.
