Actress Iyabo Ojo has now addressed the N500 million lawsuit initiated by singer Naira Marley. GISTLOVER previously reported that Naira Marley, also known as Azeez Adeshina Fashola, took legal action against Iyabo, seeking a public apology or facing legal consequences with damages amounting to N500 million.
Naira Marley, in his legal action, alleged that the actress defamed him by sharing untrue and harmful content on her Instagram. In her reply, Iyabo Ojo pointed out that the singer’s lawyer opted for public dissemination instead of serving her the lawsuit privately. Additionally, she initiated a counterclaim, emphasizing his failure to personally deliver the suit through hand delivery or mail, raising concerns about potential blackmail.
The movie star is demanding N1 billion from the singer for deliberately misleading the public.
“MY RESPONSE TO THE LETTER FROM MR OLALEKAN OJO SAN DELIBERATELY CIRCULATED OVER SOCIAL AND PRINT MEDIA WITHOUT DESERVING COURTESY TO SERVE ME.
I look forward to hearing from them at no distant time, please.
