Newlywed dies in water skiing accident during honeymoon just 3 days after wedding.

Nate and Mariana Kuhlman, who were from Ohio, experienced a heartbreaking tragedy during their honeymoon. Just three days after celebrating their wedding on October 28, 2023, they traveled to St Lucia, where Nate tragically lost his life in a waterskiing accident on October 31.

In response to this tragedy, two GoFundMe pages were established to help cover funeral expenses. The donations exceeded the set targets, with one page raising more than $30,000 (£24,228) and the other accumulating over $42,000 (£33,921).

Mariana, the bride, honored her late husband on the GoFundMe page with heartfelt words, describing Nate as a wonderful husband, friend, son, and a kindred spirit in their faith. Donors shared comforting messages and expressed their sorrow over the loss.

The couple initially met through mutual friends, as mentioned on their wedding website, and their journey took an unexpected and heartbreaking turn during what should have been a joyful honeymoon.

Donors generously shared supportive messages on both fundraising pages. One individual expressed their deep sorrow, mentioning how Nate excelled both as a person and as a budding medical professional, having worked alongside Charlene in the medical field. They emphasized that the world had suffered a significant loss.

Another message offered a prayer, asking for eternal rest and peace for Nate’s soul, invoking divine mercy.

A third message described Nate as a person filled with joy and positivity.

Nate’s mother, Heather Kuhlman, posted a heartfelt tribute on Facebook, acknowledging the unexpected shock and pain caused by Nate’s passing. She mentioned that they were coping one step at a time with the grace of God and expressed her belief that Nate is now in heaven, watching over them and praying for their well-being.
