The mother of Starlight, an artist signed under singer Portable, became emotional as she pleaded for her son’s release following his arrest by the Ogun State Police.
Reports indicate that Portable and his team allegedly assaulted officials from the Ogun State Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development during a raid in Oke-Osa, Tigbo Ilu Ota. Nine of his associates were apprehended at the scene, and Starlight appears to be among those arrested.
In a heartfelt video circulating online, Starlight’s mother insisted that her son is peaceful and gentle, asserting that he could never harm any officials.
She disclosed that her son has been ill since he was taken into custody and no longer plays with his friends. She is appealing to Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun for his prompt release.
The upset mother noted that her son recently became part of the ‘Zeh Nation’ group, and she was completely behind his music ambitions.
