Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs will not be attending 2024 Grammys amid sexual assault allegations despite his album being nominated

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has decided not to participate in the 2024 Grammys in light of the sexual assault allegations surrounding him.

Despite being nominated in the Best Progressive R&B Album category for “The Love Album: Off the Grid,” the 54-year-old rapper won’t be present at the award show scheduled for February 4 next month.

According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter published on Friday, he was not uninvited but is choosing to not attend due to the severity of the allegations.

Back in November, less than a week after Grammy nominations were announced, Cassie sued her former record label boss and ex-boyfriend, alleging he subjected her to physical and sexual abuse during their decade-long relationship.

The former couple quickly settled the case, before more lawsuits from other women emerged, all of which Diddy has ‘vehemently’ denied.

According to the legal documents from Cassie’s lawsuit, she claimed Diddy ‘was prone to uncontrollable rage, and frequently beat Ms. Ventura savagely.’

The bombshell case was dismissed just a day later when she reached a settlement with the rapper with whom Cassie had an on-off relationship from 2007 to 2018.

In a statement shared with Page Six in the following days, she said: ‘I have decided to resolve this matter amicably on terms that I have some level of control.

‘I want to thank my family, fans and lawyers for their unwavering support,’ she added

Diddy gave a similar separate statement around the same time.

‘We have decided to resolve this matter amicably,’ the record producer stated. ‘I wish Cassie and her family all the best. Love.’

Cassie also agreed to dismiss her case ‘with prejudice and without costs or fees to either party’.

However, more allegations and lawsuits emerged with women claiming he sexually assaulted them as well.

Over the years, he has won a total of three Grammy awards and has been nominated for 14.

At the 40th award ceremony in 1998, he won Best Rap Album for No Way Out.
