Darlington Okoye who is professionally known as Speed Darlington is a US-based Nigerian singer, songwriter, and actor. He was born on the 13th of March in Imo State and hails from Arondizuogu in Ideato North local government area, Imo State.

Speed Darlington’s career started off as a dancer in the 90s at Queen Achakpo. His musical career kicked off professionally in 2010 when he released his debut record “Let’s Dance”.

He eventually came into the limelight in 2017 when he released the record ‘Bangdadadang’. The song became a viral record and was even reposted by Grammy award-winning American rapper, Puff Diddy who stated in the caption that Speed Darlington inspires him.

His constant calling out of people online and saying his mind without any filter coupled with his fall-out with Vic O, another ludacris/laughable rapper, made him more famous. He got another viral song in 2019 after his friend, Nigerian rapper Zlatan, featured in his song “In Love With My Hand”.

In 2021, Speed Darlington starred in the movie “African Messiah” alongside Lasisi Elenu, Charles Okocha, IK Ogbonna, Nadia Buhari, and others
